Safe locksmith services

Opened, repaired, installed and re-coded — without wrecking the safe.

A safe is where the things you cannot replace end up, which is exactly why it is such an inconvenience when it will not open. We work on all safe models: home safes, office safes, wall and floor safes, and old safes that came with the building with no key and no code left.

The work covers a good deal more than opening. We replace combination mechanisms on safes and vaults, open old vaults with jammed mechanisms, upgrade mechanical locks to digital, cut safe keys and reset digital combinations. Everything is insured and guaranteed.

Most safes on the market can be installed at home by the person who bought them. It is not always the best idea. Where and how a safe is anchored is most of what makes it worth owning, and a safe locksmith will get that right the first time. If you have not bought one yet, call and describe what you need to store — we will tell you which safe suits it.

We help in these situations

Start with what the safe is doing. The make and the lock type decide the method, and the method decides the cost.

  • The safe will not openHome, office and old safes where the key is gone, the code is lost or the mechanism has jammed.
  • No key and no combinationSafes inherited with a house or a business, where nobody has anything left to open it with.
  • Digital locks and code changesResetting digital combinations, changing codes after a staff change, and upgrading a mechanical lock to digital.
  • Installation and repairAnchoring a new safe properly, and repairing the lock, hinges or mechanism on one you already own.

What happens when you call

The make of the safe and the type of lock decide how it opens. The more you can tell us up front, the shorter the job is.

  1. 01
    Describe the safe

Make and model if it is written on the door, whether the lock is a key, a dial or a keypad, and what happens when you try it.

  2. 02
    We work out the method

The team plans the least damaging way in for that safe and that lock, and tells you if drilling is likely before anyone comes out.

  3. 03
A technician comes to the safe

Almost always opened where it stands. He arrives with PSIRA identification and confirms the work before starting.

  4. 04
    You get it working again

Once it is open the lock is repaired or replaced, keys are cut or a new combination is set, and you test it before he leaves.

Common questions

If your safe is not covered here, call and describe what is written on the door.

Will you damage my safe getting it open?

We start with the least damaging method the safe and its lock allow. If drilling turns out to be the only realistic route, you hear that before it happens rather than after, and the safe is repaired and working again once it is open.

The safe came with the house and nobody has the key.

That is one of the most common calls we take. Tell us the make if it is written on the door and roughly how old it looks, and we will tell you what is involved.

Can you open it at my house, or does it have to be moved?

Almost always where it stands. Moving a safe is a last resort, not a first step.

Can you change the combination?

Yes. We reset digital combinations and replace combination mechanisms on safes and vaults. It is worth doing any time somebody who knew the code no longer needs it.

Do you install safes as well as open them?

Yes, and we would rather do it than have you fit it yourself. How and where a safe is anchored is most of what makes it worth having.

Tell us about the safe

Make, model and lock type if you have them — key, dial or keypad.
