Professional LocksmithCape Town
AAA Locksmiths & Security was founded by Philip Du Plessis in 1999, to be a prompt and professional locksmith and security service provider for the whole Cape Peninsula. Twenty-five years later that is still the job.

Professional locksmith services
Twenty-five years of protecting the things that matter most to you.
AAA Locksmiths & Security was founded by Philip Du Plessis in 1999, with the objective of becoming a prompt and professional locksmith and security service provider serving clients throughout the whole Cape Peninsula.
Since then we have secured the things that matter most to people: their business, their house, their vehicle. Over those years we have worked for hundreds of thousands of individuals, private businesses and government clients, including banking institutions, property administrators, and the British, Russian, German, Belgian, Italian, Irish and Swiss consulates.
In 2004 and 2005, Rael Sagor and Shamiel Williams joined the team. Sagor has been locksmithing since 1992 and brings years of experience in high security locking systems. Williams has more than twenty years in the industry and is an expert in safe work and escape hardware. When you call with an unusual problem, that is the depth sitting behind the phone.
A certified BBBEE company, AAA Locksmiths is a registered security service provider offering basic access control, biometrics and intercom installations alongside auto locksmith and emergency locksmith work. All of our technicians are registered with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Administration (PSIRA), as required by law, and with the Locksmith Association of South Africa (LASA).

Common questions
Anything here you would rather ask on the phone, please do.
What does PSIRA registration actually mean?
The Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority registers security service providers and their personnel in South Africa. A registered technician carries a card, and you are entitled to ask to see it at your door.
What is LASA?
The Locksmith Association of South Africa. Membership is a trade body standard rather than a legal requirement, which is precisely why it is worth asking about. All our technicians are registered with both LASA and PSIRA.
How long have you been trading?
Since 1999, when Philip Du Plessis founded the company. Over that time we have worked for individuals, private businesses and government clients, including banking institutions, property administrators and the British, Russian, German, Belgian, Italian, Irish and Swiss consulates.
Will I get a price before the work starts?
Yes. It is standard procedure for us to assess your security needs in person and give you product and service quotes before we get to work. Costs vary with the service, your location and the time of day, which is why we would rather look first than guess.
What does the guarantee cover?
Labour by our locksmiths and security technicians is guaranteed. On top of that, most of the keys and locking hardware we install carry a manufacturer warranty ranging from a year to an entire lifetime.
Which areas do you cover?
The main office is in the Cape Town City Bowl, with ten other 24-hour service areas: Sea Point, Claremont, Bellville, Wynberg, Somerset West, Stellenbosch, Khayelitsha, Mitchell’s Plain and Table View, plus the surrounding towns.
